Pediatric dentistry – Good habits start early
We recommend that your child’s first ‘proper’ visit should be as soon as their first tooth makes an appearance. Don’t worry, we’ll keep the appointment quick, informal, and fun. Most children love to be lowered and raised in the dentist’s chair – and we’re happy to oblige. While others enjoy getting a special sticker for good behaviour! During this appointment we’ll simply have a look round your child’s mouth, checking for any early signs of decay to those baby teeth and making a note of which have started to form.
It can take up to 8 years for your child to get all of their baby teeth, and since they’re made differently from adult teeth, they’re more susceptible to problems, if they’re not cared for properly. Regular appointments are essential for us to monitor the healthy development of your child’s teeth and assess if any orthodontic treatments are necessary.
